When showing numbers with our hands, we usually employ one or both hands and count the fingers. The Chinese people use a slightly different system. Its main difference and advantage is that you only need one hand. So even when you’re busy holding a phone, or a pencil, or chopsticks, you can still communicate numbers from 1-10. And of course it just looks way cooler than the “normal” way ;-) There are also some funny drinking games were you use these number gestures… it looks a lot like Rock, Paper, Scissors then.
Let’s take a look at the gestures:

One: Easy, just one finger. Don’t use the thumb (or middle finger) though…

Two: Not to confuse with eight. Peace out!

Three: Looks a bit strange at first. You can also use the thumb instead of the ring finger.

Four: Very easy, all fingers except the thumb.

Five: Uh, that’s hard to remember…

Six: It’s getting a bit difficult now. This one’s like “I’m telephoning” or “Rock!”

Seven: Another variant, only the first three fingers put together. It’s like gesturing “stfu!”

Eight: Pengpeng… shooting someone with numero eight.

Nine: Funniest one. A fist with only the forefinger looking out. It’s like saying “Duh! What ‘ya looking?”

Ten: Now it’s a real fist. Like “Yeah, finally got there”
Finally, maybe there is a web design and formatting expert, out there? How can I align the text next to the image, without it being displayed below it after a line break. With a single line it works fine, but when the text takes more space than one line, the secone one is always displayed below the image. I messed around for an hour, but align=bottom, top, left don’t work and I don’t want to use a table. Thanks in advance!
